WC 1041z: A good Regency Mahogany Arm Chair, c.1820, raised on turned, reeded legs, the motif repeated in the arm supports. Caned seat and back panel (seat cane with some damage). The bottom shows a history of both recaning and over upholstering. Refinished. $1,200

Wc-1090: Mahogany Armorial Hall Chair:
A great quality c.1780-1800 George III mahogany hall chair with armorial panel, raised on square, tapered and carved legs with spade feet. The aprons are floret carved, the back and seat paneled in the boldest style of the period. Superior timbers. Motto: Hoc Age (Do This). At Bradford Grammar school it is often mistranslated as "Just Do It!" Probably on of the Graham family chairs. $1,650

Set of 4 c.1735-55 Italian walnut side chairs in mostly original blue paint & silver leaf; losses. Note the asymmetry of the carving at each crest rail. Provenance: Sotheby's of London, in Florence, Villa Dell 'Ombrellino, estate of Violet Trefusis, May 25-26, 1973, lot 71. While noted as repainted the flaked surface provide no such evidence. Violet Trefusis was the daughter of Mrs. George Keppel, the famous mistress of King George VII. Violet inherited Ombrellino from her mother and father. $4,800
