Wg-1543z: A striking Orrefors Vase designed in 1931 by the great Simon Gate, made and wheel cut in 1934 by the engraver Bertil Gustafsson, the smokey transparent glass, faceted and flaring features a classical female nude holding a flower. Engraved signature on the base "Orrefors. Gate. 1019.34.BG". Provenance: Lillian Nassau, New York City and the Heninger Collection (#173). 8" h., 5 1/2" dia. $750.
