Salmon & gilt bordered Armorial Barr Flight Barr (impressed) Worcester porcelain platter, mark of 1804-13, 17 1/2" L. Date c.1810. Gilding attributed to Thomas Baxter by Henry Sandon (p.92). Motto: Cura Quietem (Regard Your Repose). The Hall Families of England & Scotland, a stork standing (on a hill) in dexter a stone (flint). Very fine condition with only minor scratches & rubbing. From the documented Marjoriebanks of Lees, Berwickshire, made 1810-15 (Henry Sandon, p.211), for Sir William Marjoriebanks, Baronet, probably to celebrate the creation of the Baronetcy on December 27, 1814.
