WCH-633z: A fabulous Louis Vuitton "Grand Tour" 44" wardrobe trunk: "the ultimate in Vuitton luggage, if not the ultimate in all luggege". Aquired by Mrs. Russak Hochener (Henry Hochener) in 1930. Superb, original condition lacking only the removable case. Lock #078424. Even the brass studs are signed. Original owners monogram on the end. A delightful and unusual armorial Blanket Chest, mid-19th century, carved as hundreds of logs yet each side is actually a thick board of lindenwood. Traces of polychrome over all surfaces. Probably Swiss. Dovetailed construction. Fully developed on all sides and raised on original "log" feet.
