A delightful and unusual armorial Blanket Chest, mid-19th century, carved as hundreds of logs yet each side is actually a thick board of lindenwood. Traces of polychrome over all surfaces. Probably Swiss. Dovetailed construction. Fully developed on all sides and raised on original "log" feet.
