A c.1800 pine vitrine; domed door, 8 pane side lights above a paneled door (rope and rosette carved). The legs are extensions of the front pilasters and rear styles. Paneled sides. Cut-out molded aprons with bell flower carving. Door reveals a hung interior drawer. Delightfully architectural and classically Dutch.

A striking mid-19th century Portuguese Colonial carved rosewood Bookcase on Cabinet from Goa, raised on smartly turned feet. The naturalistic carving is carried throughout this handsome & useful piece. Most of the motifs speak to design from 1835, the circular reeded paterae door panels, the egg & dart moldings, the gadrooned edges & so forth.
