Wci-5877z: Pair of Barr Flight Barr, Worcester, Armorial Plates

A colorful pair of armorial Barr Flight Barr, Worcester, porcelain plates, the vermiculi gilding covering the surface. Impressed BFB with crown and sepia inderglaze mark, "Manufacturers to their Majesties, Prince of Whales, and Royal Family, Established 1751", the mark used c.1807-1813. A large group of families share an identical crest rising from a ducal coronet. Provenance: Sigourney Cheek Collection, Nashville, TM, from the noted armorial porcelain collector and dealer Thomas Lee, Memphis, TN. 8 1/4" dia. SOLD
